It's not just about the gifts but i wanted to remember a few of them. i was given so many nice things and as i've gotten older i've enjoyed giving gifts so much more than receiving them.
It was actually a lot of work helping Alli open her presents, then open mine once in a while, then watch everyone open theirs... let alone Emily and Kadin's gifts. Next year will be a complete and total tornado... one 2 year and two 1 year olds! Hahaha.
i can't wait to head to the zoo this spring and summer. Thanks Grandma!
Ya know what's really weird about this whole mom thing? i'm responsible for cutting 30 finger nails and 30 toe nails on a regular basis, plus my own. Andrew said he wouldn't mind if i was in charge of his too.
i LOVE this picture. It is Allison's personality to a T. =)
i think she's going to have gorgeous skin.
His eyes seem to be staying blue.
Allison with one of her beloved Ikea dishes.
=) We did it!
Unfortunately, Allison was NOT happy to be near Santa, the babies were spitting up everywhere, everyone was crying at one point... it was such a huge ordeal getting these pictures. But it's over now, yay! i already emailed the photography people to let them know i'm pissed that 2 out of the 3 pictures we paid for are blurry. We chose the USB option, no prints, so when we were looking at the photos on their screen and she promised "they wouldn't really look like that" we believed her. If only a do-over wouldn't take 3 hours and make us go insane...
At least they still look adorable. i LOVE the outfits we found.
Thank God Grandma came to help us. This is our first family picture. If we look exhausted, well, we are!
Allison is becoming such a fun girl. She's always been happy and social and spirited but now, ohh now she's walking around being a little person! She's responding to what we say and doing exactly what she wants; sometimes it's what we want too. She's trying to help us, she's expressing her feelings, she's just so awesome. It's amazing to watch her change and discover this world. i still can't believe she's walking!!!! And i'm in awe that we get to experience this joy two more times.
Sesame Street is now a part of our lives. i think that's a good thing, it has lots of positives and it allows us a few minutes to get things done in the mornings. She loves the beginning part, anything with Cookie Monster or Elmo, and the ending, mainly because it's familiar. She has started to protest food, which is normal for her age, and has come face to face with "the time out chair". So far it's working. i know it's still a game for her but the mere mention of the time out chair and she starts behaving again for me. Ahhh the excitement...
Giving Kadin his binky... and then taking it back out.
And the babies looking twinny.
Also, the babies had 2oz. each of formula in the last 24 hours. That's it! i'm amazed because they're eating 4oz. each every 3 hours... that's 64oz. Minus a little bit for their longer stretch at night, that's still at least 54oz. i'm able to give them. i'm so proud of that.
The babies are at a really sweet age. They are still newborns but not quite so tiny and fragile. They're getting chub on their thighs, they're smiling a tiny bit, and they've got a decent schedule going on (waiting 4 hours at night to eat, sometimes more). If we could just get through this sick/cold part, things would be much better.
The top ten reasons why men don't have babies.
10. They don't eat their vegetables.
9. They would never remember to take a daily vitamin. For 9 months.
8. They wouldn't stop their dangerous behavior (smoking, drinking, driving motorcycles...)
7. They can't handle being uncomfortable or in pain.
6. They're too cheap to buy new "fat" clothes.
5. They would freak out when milk starting squirting out of their boobs.
4. They're aren't very good at going to the Dr's, let alone every 2-4 weeks.
3. They couldn't handle all the crying and mood swings.
2. They would run to the abortion clinic after 1 week of morning sickness.
1. They can never do anything that might ruin their sex life.
Just for my information in a few months...
